BRIEF BIO DATA OF DW&CE (NAVY)

1.      BA 3366 Col Zakir Ahmed, psc was born on 01 January 1968 in a respectable muslim family at Jamalpur district.

2.      He passed HSC from Sylhet Cadet College and joined Bangladesh Army after getting commission on 25 Dec 1987 with 17 BMA Long Course. After commission he served in various units and formations in Bangladesh Army. He also served in UN Mission with Bangladesh Engineer Squadron in ONUMOZ and as Contingent Commander of BANENGR-1 in MONUSCO. At present he is serving as DW&CE (Navy) with effect from 19 January 2013.

3.      He completed his BSc Engineering (Civil) from BIT Rajshahiand MSc Engineering (WRE) from BUET. He is also a graduate from Defence Services Command and Staff College.

4.      He visited number of foreign countries like USA, Australia, Malaysia, Dubai, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Congo, Rwanda and Burundi.

5.      He is proud father of two daughters.
